Nightcap (Secret District)

Nightcap is the 20th Secret District and is now available. It takes place in Chicago and we have a total of 14 days to get it done. There is nothing very exciting about this district. The best ratio is 2.33 and the loot is not very helpful to all players.

“Cigarettes aren’t the only things she lights up.  She takes your soul and senses with her sensual smoke.  Stub her out before she stubs you.”

To access Nightcap , use the Home Page banner, the Chicago Job Page or the Travel Bar. If you use the Spockholm Toolbar, just click on the “Secret” button from any district page in Chicago.

Images on the Secret District Job

Like all past Secret Districts, there are a total of 9 jobs and each job has 4 levels of mastery. There are no equipment items to purchase for Secret District jobs but 6 of the jobs require Clams. Below are the job descriptions, requirements and payouts for each level.

 Bronze

Silver

Gold

Ruby

Whisked Away is the consumable item. They are needed for two of the jobs and can be used as ammo for the Boss Fight. Whisked Aways can be found on the Free Gift Page and you can accept up to 250 per day.

There are 4 loot items which randomly drop from all jobs. You will need at least 50 of the first 3 items to get the 3 skill point bonuses. The rare item is helpful but the drop rate is miserable.

take advantage of the 2X Loot Boosts. The Lockpick Chicago Crew Bonus can also help . You can ask your mafia to send you 2X Loot Boosts once every 30 minutes (up to 5), collect up to 30 per day from the news feeds or put them on your wishlist.

There is a drop down tracker on top of the job page which helps you easily check on how many loot items, 2x Loot Boosts and consumables you have on hand. Once you get 10, 25 and 50 of the first three loot items shown above, you get bonus +5 attack points, +5 defense points and +5 skill points as a reward.

you will run into those annoying Bandits.  To reduce your level of irritation make sure your Crew queue is full before starting the district.

CiCi Garrett is the boss and it works the same as all the other Secret District Bosses. You can attack her with stamina or ammo and she is only available to defeat once per level.

If you pull up the page shown above, you can generate a request and get 5 Whicked Aways from your mafia.

You can use stamina or ammo items to attack Secret District Bosses. If you use stamina, the initial cost for each level is 5. The amount goes up by 5 for each attack. If you wait 8 hours, the stamina per attack will reset to 5 and the gradient will work it’s way back up.  you are told to “Attack Kurt Reel” but he was the boss for the last Secret District .

Ammo items do more damage than stamina and it’s best to use them is combos. The three combos for this boss are shown below.

For each level that you fully master all jobs and take out the boss, you get a Thick Smoke. This item has stats of 173/119 on the Bronze Level and improves to 233/131 on the Ruby Level. You have to defeat the boss before you get it so don’t freak out if you finish all the jobs and still don’t have this item.

When you defeat the boss, you get a CiCi’s Tray. This item has stats of  165/133 on the Bronze Level and improves to 225/163 on the Ruby Level.

If you take out the boss before mastering the jobs, you will get an individual popup for CiCi’s Tray.

You will then get the reward popup for Thick Smoke once you complete all the jobs in the district.

Robbing Spree 4: Rob, Trick Or Treat

The 4th round of the Robbing Spree is all tricked out for Halloween. We have 7 days to rob as many houses as possible while avoiding those pesky alarms. It's best not to rely on luck for this feature. Rob blind only when your not at risk of activating a third alarm.

How to Play:

You need 10 Goodie Bags to enter a block and start the game.

Hover over a House:

Click on the "Peek" button and use Goodie Bags to see what the House contains.
Click on the "Rob" button and use Stamina to rob the House.
You can either take a chance and rob the House blind, or peek inside to make sure there are no alarms.A House can have up to two alarms.
Triggering three alarms will end your robbing spree, and cause you to lose your haul.
If you're satisfied with your haul, and you don’t want to risk losing it by triggering alarms, click on the "Grab Haul" button. Your game will end, and you'll ensure that your haul is safe.

How to get Goodie Bags:

The consumable item needed to activate a Robbing Spree Board and peek inside houses is the Goodie Bag. There are a variety of ways to get these items but there are limits.

You can collect Goodie Bags from Requests, Feeds and Jobs.

Requests: Get 20 Goodie Bags by accepting Requests from your friends.

Feeds: Post a feed every 2 hours and get a maximum of 5 Goodie Bags per feed when your friends click on it. You can earn a total of 20 Goodie Bags per day. Click on your friends' feeds to earn up to 5 Goodie Bags per day.

Jobs: Get up to 5 Goodie Bags a day as loot drops while doing jobs.

Earn up to 50 Goodie Bags per day (20 from requests + 20 from feeds + 5 from clicking on feeds + 5 from job drops). Goodie Bags can only be collected during the first 7 days of the event.
The daily limit timers reset at 00:00 AM PST.

Houses have:

Alarm:  Triggers a single alarm.
2x Alarm:  Triggers two alarms.
Goodie Bags:  Use this to Peek, start a new game, or enter a new block.
Half Skill Points:  Find the other half before you click on "Grab Haul" to get 1 full Skill Point.
Energy/Stamina Refill:  Refills 5% of your maximum Energy/Stamina.
City Cash:  London Pounds to help you master the city of London.
Boosts:  3 Absinthe, 3 Jukebox, 3 Vampire Batting and 3 Ruthless
Items:  Scarecrow, Toxic Pumpkin, Bonbomb. Rob same item to increase its mastery.

Review

your board starts with 25 houses and each house contains a reward, a Single Alarm or a Double Alarm. If you activate 3 alarms, you are done and don’t get anything. Each board has 5 Single Alarms and 1 Double Alarm. You can blindly rob each house for 25 stamina as long as there is no risk of activating a third alarm. if that risk is present then you should use 3 consumables to peek before you rob. Regardless of how you do it, you will need to spend 25 stamina to rob a house.

The loot rewards offered for this Robbing Spree are shown below. If you clear an entire board, you will get one Gold, one Ruby and one Emerald item. In addition to looking really cool, these items have impressive stats.

If you get duplicate loot items, the items with lower levels of mastery disappear once you rob a house that contains the same item but with a higher level of mastery. When you find the second half of a skill point or boost, the first half also disappears.

When you are ready to collect, click the “Grab Treats” button. This is normally the “Grab Haul” button but they changed it for Halloween. Before you do this, make sure you have robbed all houses that don’t have an alarm or you won’t get the items. Just peeking isn’t enough. You need to spend the stamina to rob in order to get credit for the item. I usually hover my mouse and drag it across all 25 houses to ensure I didn’t forget to rob one that contains a reward. Once you collect, there is no going back.

The strategy you use for clearing boards will depend on when your alarms show up. In theory it should be random but I’ve done enough of these to suspect Zynga tweaks the odds in their favor. Each board has 1 Double Alarm and 5 Single Alarms. When you find your first Double Alarm or your second Single Alarm, you have the option to deactivate 1 Alarm for 8 reward  points. Depending on where you are in the process, it could save you a lot of Goodie Bags to use this option. It should be noted that a Double Alarm will not be completely deactivated, only one Alarm will be removed. If you hit a Double Alarm after 1 alarm has already been activated, you won't get the option to deactivate one.

Your Goal Is To Rob As Many Houses As Possible Without Peeking. You Can Rob blind until you hit an alarm. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Single or a Double. This is because if you hit a double after a single or a single after a double, it’s all over and your progress is wasted. If there wasn’t a charge of 10 consumables to start a new board, you could just start over.
